Am I eligible for both telephone & utilities allowances ?
Hi Benjamin, if you are on the Age Pension then you will not receive the telephone and utilities allowances, you receive the pension and energy supplements. If you are not on the Age Pension then payments such as the telephone, utilities and pharmaceutical allowances may be available to you but these are available to those on other payments such as the Disability Support Pension. If you are on one of these other, eligible payments then you would automatically receive the applicable allowances with no need for further action. If you would like reassurance you can call Centrelink directly on 132 300 and they will confirm this for you.
Our rent went up in October last year by $100 per fortnight are we allowed a larger allowance?
Hi Susan and Gordon, you may be entitled to an increase in your rent allowance if you were not already receiving the full amount. If you provide Centrelink with a copy of your new rental agreement showing the increased rent and you are not already receiving the full allowance then your allowance will be increased.

Do you get the pension supplement if you are on a part pension?
Hi Mx E Butler, thanks for reaching out for further clarity. Yes you do still receive the supplements even if you are not receiving the full age pension.
